I have sent two cars to Europe to friends of mine and I have friends in Brazil who would like to get a car that is of high statue in Brazil, but normal in the U.S. So basically I told them that I would ship one, but it is hard to find information on the subject. When I search for information all my results come back as the ethanol in the gasoline in Brazil.

Unfortunately, the protectionist laws in Brazil do not allow 2nd hand carsto be imported. All imported cars in Brazil are new, and only sold through authorized dealers. No wonder why Brazil, being a country where people earn such low wages have such an old car fleet. A 10 years old car in Brazil would have lost between 50 and 70% of its “new” market price, where as in Uk, Ireland or Germany a 10 years old car would have lost 80 to 95% of its “new” market price.
